The Schneider Electric ATV6B0M10R4 is an Altivar Process ATV600 modular drive rated for 1000 kW at 440 V normal duty and 800 kW at 440 V heavy duty, with a corresponding line current of 1408 A normal duty or 1126 A heavy duty at 440 V. It is a current-production unit (lifecycle stage: current) built for cabinet mounting with forced convection cooling. The drive draws its control power from an external 24 V DC supply (19...30 V) for digital inputs and an internal 24 V DC supply (21...27 V, <200 mA) for digital inputs and STO, with overload and short-circuit protection. It also provides a 10.5 V DC +/- 5 % reference supply for a 1 to 10 kOhm potentiometer. Integrated EMC filter meets IEC 61800-3 category C3 for 300 m of motor cable, and total harmonic current distortion stays under 5 % at full load per IEEE 519.
Safety and compliance
Safe torque off (STO) is built in at SIL 3, with dedicated 24 V DC inputs (STOA, STOB) compliant to IEC 61131-2 type 1 PLC levels. The drive carries CE marking and complies with IEC 61800-3, IEC 61800-5-1, IEC 61000-3-12, IEC 60721-3, IEC 61508, and IEC 13849-1. Pollution degree 2 per IEC 61800-5-1, operating altitude up to 4800 m with current derating above 1000 m, and relative humidity 5...95 % without condensation.
Integration and I/O
Three software-configurable analog inputs (AI1, AI2, AI3) accept 0...10 V DC or 0...20 mA/4...20 mA, 12-bit resolution, with linearity error +/- 0.15 % of max value. Two analog outputs (AO1, AO2) with +/- 0.2 % linearity. Six programmable digital inputs (DI1...DI6), with DI5 and DI6 configurable as pulse inputs up to 30 kHz. Three relay outputs: R1 is a configurable NO/NC fault relay, R2 and R3 are NO sequence relays, all rated for 100,000 cycles electrical durability. Relay response time is 5 ms +/- 0.5 ms. Slot A accepts communication option modules: Profibus DP V1, PROFINET, DeviceNet, Modbus TCP/EtherNet/IP, or CANopen (daisy chain RJ45, SUB-D 9, or screw terminals). Slots A and B also accept digital/analog I/O extension modules or output relay extension modules.
Fieldbus and diagnostics
Embedded Modbus serial (2-wire RS-485, RTU format, 4.8 to 38.4 kbit/s) and Modbus TCP slave via Ethernet (10/100 Mbit/s, half/full duplex or autonegotiation). Local diagnostic LEDs: three for drive status, three dual-color for embedded communication, four dual-color for the communication module. The kit includes one control unit, mechanical mounting kits, power connection set of fuses, six 160 kW power modules, and a front cover.
