What the ATV6B0M12N6 brings to the panel
The Schneider Electric ATV6B0M12N6 is an Altivar Process ATV600 modular drive, sized for 800 kW at 500 V normal duty (710 kW heavy duty) with 991 A line current. It's built for cabinet mount, includes an integrated EMC filter for up to 300 m cable runs under C3 category, and has an adjustable switching frequency of 2 to 4.9 kHz. The drive carries the CE marking, handles both synchronous and asynchronous motors, includes thermal protection, safe torque off (STO) SIL3, and meets a stack of IEC standards for safety and EMC.
Out here in the grease, normal duty means constant-torque loads like conveyors; heavy duty is for pumps and fans with lower starting torque. At 991 A line current, your transformer better be sized for that draw, especially with the <5% THDI — that keeps harmonics from cooking the supply. The integrated C3 EMC filter handles 300 m of motor cable without external filtering, saving you panel space and wiring time. If you need longer runs, you'll need to add an output filter. Communication slots: Slot A takes Profibus DP, PROFINET, DeviceNet, Modbus TCP/EtherNet/IP, or CANopen. Slot A/B also take digital/analog I/O or relay extension modules.
