This ATV930C16N4CUS is a variable speed drive from the Altivar Process ATV900 family, designed for 3-phase asynchronous and synchronous motors. It delivers 160 kW normal duty or 132 kW heavy duty from a 380-480 V supply, with a continuous output current of 302 A at 2.5 kHz for normal duty.
Control supply and I/O wiring
Control wiring runs on an external 24 V DC supply for digital inputs (19-30 V range). Separate internal supplies provide 10.5 V DC for a reference potentiometer (1-10 kΩ) and 24 V DC (21-27 V) for digital inputs and the STO safety function. The drive passes a 500 V DC insulation test at 1 MΩ for 1 minute to earth.

The drive carries UL 508C, IEC 61800-3 (EMC), IEC 61800-5-1 (safety), IEC 61000-3-12 (harmonic), IEC 60721-3 (environmental), IEC 61508 / IEC 13849-1 (functional safety). CE marked and TAA compliant.

Three expansion slots (A, B, C) accept communication modules for PROFIBUS DP V1, PROFINET, DeviceNet, EtherCAT, CANopen, or Ethernet Powerlink. Encoder interface modules (digital 5/12 V, analog, resolver) fit slot B. Digital/analog I/O and relay extension modules use any slot. Built-in Ethernet/IP and Modbus TCP with half/full duplex and auto-negotiation at 10/100 Mbps.

Wall-mount oriented vertically ±10°. Ambient temperature 5-95% RH non-condensing. Altitude up to 1000 m full rating; derate 1% per 100 m to 4800 m. Vibration resistance 1.5 mm pk-pk at 2-13 Hz and 1 gn at 13-200 Hz. Shock 15 gn for 11 ms. Requires 600 m³/h cooling air.
