The ATV930D15N4US is a 15 kW normal-duty variable speed drive from the Altivar Process ATV900 series, designed for asynchronous and synchronous motors on 380...480 V 3-phase supplies. Its 31.7 A nominal output current at 4 kHz covers a 15 kW motor in normal duty; drop to 23.5 A at 4 kHz for heavy-duty applications, which derates the motor to 11 kW. The integrated braking chopper handles regenerative energy without an external module — useful for decelerating high-inertia loads on packaging lines or conveyors. The drive ships with an integrated EMC filter and carries CE marking, UL 508C, and IEC 61800-3 compliance, so it meets North American and European installation requirements out of the box.
Integration notes
Wall-mount the drive vertically within ±10° for proper convection cooling. The 215 m³/h airflow requires clearance above and below the unit — don't box it into a tight enclosure without forced ventilation. Control wiring lands on screw terminals accepting 0.5...1.5 mm² (AWG 20...16); power terminals handle 10...16 mm² (AWG 8...6) for line, motor, and DC bus connections. The control section provides an adjustable PID regulator and supports multiple fieldbus options via slot A: Profibus DP V1, PROFINET, DeviceNet, EtherCAT, CANopen (RJ45, SUB-D 9, or screw terminals), and Ethernet Powerlink. The integrated Ethernet port runs half/full duplex with auto-negotiation at 10/100 Mbits. For safety, the STO (Safe Torque Off) function uses the internal 24 V DC supply (21...27 V).

Relative humidity range 5...95% non-condensing per IEC 60068-2-3.
