Panel-mounted process drive with heavy-duty headroom
The Schneider ATV930D30N4Z is a 30 kW normal-duty (22 kW heavy-duty) variable speed drive from the Altivar Process ATV900 family, designed for asynchronous and synchronous motors in industrial process applications. It operates on 380–480 V three-phase supply and delivers a continuous output current of 61.5 A at 4 kHz switching frequency (normal duty) or 46.3 A in heavy-duty profile.
Built for process control, not washdown
IP21 rating means this drive lives inside a clean cabinet. It is not a washdown unit – if your line requires direct high-pressure hot caustic cleaning, look for an IP69K-rated drive or a stainless enclosure. But for the cabinet controlling your dairy or beverage line, the ATV930D30N4Z fits well: integrated EMC filter (Class C3 or C2 depending on plate option), internal braking chopper for dynamic load handling, and a PID regulator for closed-loop process control.
Communication flexibility for fieldbus integration
The drive comes with Modbus serial and EtherNet/IP/Modbus TCP on board. For other fieldbuses (PROFIBUS DP V1, PROFINET, DeviceNet, EtherCAT, CANopen, Ethernet Powerlink), you add a module in Slot A. The control screw terminals accept 0.5–1.5 mm²; line and motor terminals take 25–50 mm². Control supply is 24 V DC (19–30 V), with an internal 10.5 V reference for the potentiometer and a separate 24 V supply for STO and digital inputs.
