ATV930D90N4428 is a 90 kW normal duty / 75 kW heavy duty variable speed drive from the Altivar Process ATV900 family. It runs on 380-480 V three-phase and delivers 173 A nominal output current. The continuous output at 2.5 kHz switching frequency is 106 A for normal duty and 88 A for heavy duty, so the heavy-duty spec provides extra overload margin for machines like crushers or extruders that need high starting torque. Designed for asynchronous and synchronous motors. Integrated EMC filter meets IEC 61800-3 conducted emission limits; an optional EMC plate provides additional attenuation. The braking chopper is standard on this variant, which is essential for applications where the motor regenerates energy back to the DC bus, such as centrifuge deceleration or hoist lowering. Without an external braking resistor the chopper alone doesn't dissipate energy, so factor resistor sizing into the BOM if stopping time is critical.
