What it is — shaft power and supply fit
The ATV930D90N4US is a 3-phase variable speed drive from the Altivar Process ATV900 family, sized for 90 kW normal duty and 75 kW heavy duty on a 380–480 V supply. Nominal output current is 173 A, continuous at 2.5 kHz under normal duty; the heavy-duty curve drops to 145 A for higher overload cycles. It drives both asynchronous and synchronous motors out of the box, with an integrated braking chopper that saves an external resistor for moderate deceleration loads. The PID regulator handles process loops directly—fan, pump, conveyor—without an external controller.
Integration — mounting, wiring, options
Wall-mount enclosed design, IP21 / UL Type 1—clean indoor panel, no washdown. Line and motor connections accept screw terminals up to 120 mm² (AWG 4/0–250 kcmil). Three option slots (A, B, C) accept Profibus DP, PROFINET, EtherCAT, CANopen, DeviceNet, digital/analog I/O extension, encoder or resolver feedback, and a relay extension module. Ethernet IP / Modbus TCP is built in; the communication module slots handle the fieldbuses. Integrated EMC filter with optional EMC plate and cooling air volume 295 m³/h (77932.2 gal/hr).
