The ATV930D90N4Z is a current-production Altivar Process ATV900 drive sized for a 90 kW normal-duty or 75 kW heavy-duty induction or synchronous motor on a 380-480 V three-phase supply. Nominal output current is 173 A; continuous output is 173 A at 2.5 kHz for normal duty and 145 A at 2.5 kHz for heavy duty. The standard variant includes a braking chopper, so vertical loads or fast deceleration profiles are covered without an external braking module.
The 173 A nominal output current is the headline number for matching motor FLA. The integrated EMC filter is included. Total harmonic current distortion (THDI) is under 48% from 80-100% load per IEC 61000-3-12.
The drive ships with EtherNet/IP, Modbus serial, and Modbus TCP on board. For other fieldbuses — PROFIBUS DP V1, PROFINET, DeviceNet, EtherCAT, CANopen — a slot A communication module is required. Slot A, B, and C also accept digital/analog I/O extension modules, relay output modules, and encoder interfaces (digital 5/12 V, analog, resolver). Control wiring uses screw terminals accepting 0.5-1.5 mm² (AWG 20-16). Power wiring: line and motor terminals accept up to 120 mm² (250 kcmil); DC bus terminals accept 95-120 mm² (AWG 3/0-250 kcmil).
