The ATV930U07N4Z is a 0.75 kW normal-duty (0.37 kW heavy-duty) variable speed drive from the Altivar Process ATV900 family, fed by 380...480 V 3-phase supply. Continuous output current is 2.2 A at 4 kHz for normal duty, 1.5 A at 4 kHz for heavy duty. It ships with an integrated EMC filter and a built-in braking chopper — the chopper is standard on this variant, not an option card.
The 2.2 A continuous output (normal duty) at 4 kHz switching sets the motor current limit for a standard 0.75 kW induction motor on 400 V. The drive is rated for both asynchronous and synchronous motors. The IP21 enclosure is suitable for clean indoor panels; if the cabinet environment is dusty or damp, plan for additional panel protection.
Control and communications
Native communication includes Modbus serial, Modbus TCP, and EtherNet/IP. The drive has three option slots (A, B, C) for fieldbus or I/O expansion — supported modules include Profibus DP V1, PROFINET, DeviceNet, EtherCAT, CANopen (RJ45, SUB-D 9, or screw terminals), plus encoder interfaces (digital 5/12 V, analog, resolver) and relay or digital/analog I/O extension modules. Control wiring uses screw terminals accepting 0.5...1.5 mm² (AWG 20...16). The drive provides an external 24 V DC supply for digital inputs (19...30 V), an internal 24 V DC supply for digital inputs and STO (21...27 V), and a 10.5 V DC reference supply for a 1 to 10 kOhm potentiometer. Insulation resistance to earth is tested at 1 MOhm, 500 V DC for 1 minute.
