The Schneider Altivar Process ATV950D22N4E is a 22 kW variable speed drive for asynchronous and synchronous motors, fed from a 380-480 V three-phase supply. It delivers 46.3 A continuous at 4 kHz for normal duty, and 39.2 A for heavy duty – that's the rating that tells you whether it's got headroom for your 20 kW pump or needs derating for a constant-torque conveyor. IP55 enclosure means it can sit on a washdown wall without a separate cabinet. The integrated braking chopper handles overhauling loads – vertical conveyors, centrifuges – without bolting on an external resistor module.

Integration and communication
Out of the box it talks Modbus serial, Modbus TCP, and EtherNet/IP at 10/100 Mbps. Need Profibus, PROFINET, EtherCAT, or CANopen? Slot A accepts a fieldbus module – just snap it in and set the baud rate via DIP or software. The control terminal accepts 0.5-1.5 mm² wire; power terminals take 10-16 mm² on line and motor side. Mount it wall vertical (±10°), leave clearance for the fan (53.7 dB noise level – not quiet, but not a screamer).
Compliance and environment
CE marked, UL 508C listed, IEC 61800-3 for EMC. The integrated EMC filter covers conducted emissions to Category C2 with the optional plate. The 5-95 % humidity range without condensation means it's fine for indoor process halls. Current production – we quote it to order; no last-time-buy scramble.
