ATV950D75N4 is an Altivar Process ATV900 variable speed drive rated at 75 kW for normal duty (55 kW heavy duty) on a 380-480 V three-phase supply. Continuous output current is 145 A at 2.5 kHz for normal duty; heavy duty draws 106 A at the same switching frequency, so size the motor cable and upstream protection accordingly. The drive supports both synchronous and asynchronous motors and carries an integrated braking chopper for dynamic braking of overhauling loads. Built-in communication includes Modbus serial, Modbus TCP, and EtherNet/IP. Additional fieldbus options use Slot A modules, and I/O expansion slots accept digital/analog I/O, relays, or encoder interfaces (including 5/12 V digital).
Enclosed in an IP55-rated housing with UL type 1 protection, the drive is wall-mount and installs vertically within ±10°. Terminal blocks handle control wiring 0.5-1.5 mm², motor and line side up to 120 mm². The DC bus terminals accept 70-120 mm². Ambient relative humidity 5-95% non-condensing; altitude derating applies above 1000 m, 1% per 100 m up to 4800 m. Environmental resistance includes chemical pollution class 3C3 and dust class 3S3 per IEC 60721-3-3. EMC filter is integrated with an optional EMC plate.
