The ATV980C11T4X1 is a regenerative variable speed drive from the Altivar Process ATV900 family, rated for 132/110 kW on a 480 V three-phase supply. It ships in an IP23 floor-standing compact enclosure with the Spacial SF cabinet, main switch, line choke, and graphical operating panel already fitted — a near turnkey install for a regenerative system that recovers braking energy back to the line.
Supply voltage is 480 V +/- 10 %, three-phase, 50/60 Hz. The drive handles asynchronous and synchronous motors — so it covers induction motors and permanent-magnet types common in high-efficiency retrofit applications. Operating temperature range is 0 to 40 °C without derating; above that up to 50 °C with a derating factor applied. Altitude derating starts at 1000 m: 1 % current derating per 100 m up to 2000 m, and continues for TT, TN, and IT earthing systems up to 4800 m — relevant if the drive is going into a high-altitude installation like a mine or pumping station. Communication comes standard with Modbus serial, EtherNet/IP, and Modbus TCP — covers most PLC integration scenarios without an option card. The IP23 enclosure means it is splash-protected but not dust-sealed; keep it in a clean, indoor electrical room or a sheltered outdoor cabinet. Shock resistance is 4 gn for 11 ms, vibration resistance 1.5 mm peak-to-peak at 3–20 Hz and 0.6 gn at 10–200 Hz — robust enough for floor mounting near rotating machinery.
The drive carries CE marking and complies with IEC 61800-2 (adjustable speed drives), IEC 61800-3 (EMC), IEC 61800-5-1 (safety), and IEC 60204-1 (machinery electrical equipment). Pollution degree 2 per IEC 61800-5-1, overvoltage category III. Environmental resistance includes chemical pollution class 3C3, dust class 3S3, and humidity class 3K3 per IEC 60721-3-3 — suitable for industrial environments with moderate chemical or dust exposure.
