The ATV980C13T4X1 is a Schneider Electric Altivar Process ATV980 regenerative variable speed drive, rated 160/132 kW on 480 V three-phase supply. It ships as a floor-standing compact enclosure with the Spacial SF cabinet, main switch, line choke, and graphical operating panel already fitted — essentially a pre-kitted regenerative drive package for asynchronous or synchronous motors. The IP23 rating (IEC 61800-5-1) means it handles indoor environments with some falling water or dust ingress; forced convection cooling keeps it running without a fan filter change schedule. Supply frequency is 50...60 Hz ±5 %, so it lands on either 50 Hz or 60 Hz networks without reconfiguration.
The 480 V ±10 % supply voltage covers 432–528 VAC — standard for North American 480 V three-phase and European 400 V networks (the drive will run on 400 V within tolerance). The 50...60 Hz ±5 % range means it accepts 47–63 Hz, so it works on 50 Hz or 60 Hz grids without a hardware change. The IP23 enclosure is not sealed against hose-down; it's for indoor installation where vertical drip or light splashing occurs. Operating temperature is 0...40 °C without derating, 40...50 °C with derating factor — if the room hits 45 °C, expect a current reduction. Altitude derating starts at 1000 m: 1 % per 100 m up to 2000 m, then continues to 4800 m with the same slope, regardless of earthing system (TT, TN, IT). The drive comes with the Spacial SF enclosure, main switch, line choke, and terminal blocks for main supply and motor — no separate enclosure sourcing needed. Communication ports are EtherNet/IP, Modbus serial, and Modbus TCP, so it drops into most control networks without an extra gateway. The graphical operating panel is mounted in the enclosure door; you can remote-mount it if the panel location is awkward. Vibration resistance is 1.5 mm peak-to-peak at 3–20 Hz and 0.6 gn at 10–200 Hz (IEC 60068-2-6), which is standard for floor-mounted industrial gear — not for direct machine mounting. Shock resistance is 4 gn for 11 ms (IEC 60068-2-27). Pollution degree 2 (IEC 61800-5-1) means only non-conductive pollution occurs, so no special coating required for clean indoor air.
