The ATV980C16Q4X1 is a regenerative variable speed drive from the Altivar Process ATV900 family, built as a compact floor-standing enclosure. It's designed for asynchronous and synchronous motors in the 160 to 132 kW range on a 380 to 415 V three-phase supply at 50/60 Hz. Total harmonic current distortion (THDI) stays below 5% at full load, meeting IEEE 519 — that means you can run this on a shared transformer without over-sizing the generator or worrying about nuisance tripping from upstream harmonics. The enclosure ships with a line choke, main switch, terminal blocks for supply and motor, and a graphical operating panel in the door — it's a near-turnkey package for a regenerative drive installation. Integration and communication

The drive sits on a standard floor footprint; forced convection cooling means you need clearance around the enclosure for airflow, not a separate fan cabinet. Operating temperature range is 0 to 40 °C without derating, 40 to 50 °C with derating. Below 0 °C you need the optional enclosure heating.
