Drive fit at a glance
The Schneider ATV9A0C11T6 is a current-production Altivar Process ATV900 drive in a modular cabinet-mount form. It's sized for 125 hp at 600 V normal duty or 100 hp under heavy duty, drawing 112 A or 92 A line current respectively. The integrated EMC filter meets IEC 61800-3 category C3 for 300 m motor cable, and the Safe Torque Off function is rated SIL 3, which covers most process safety loops without an external safety relay. Control power comes from multiple internal rails: 24 V DC (19-30 V) for digital inputs, a separate 21-27 V supply for digital inputs and STO, and a 10.5 V DC reference for a 1-10 kOhm potentiometer. The internal supply for STO means you don't need a dedicated 24 V safety bus — but watch the current budget if you're feeding many inputs externally. Built for asynchronous and synchronous motors, the drive supports Modbus serial (RS-485, RTU) and dual Ethernet ports (EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP) at 10/100 Mbit. Slot A/ B/ C accept option cards for Profibus DP, PROFINET, DeviceNet, EtherCAT, CANopen, and analog/digital I/O extensions. Switching frequency is adjustable from 2 to 4.9 kHz with derating — useful for quieter motor operation but watch the thermal limit at higher frequencies. The drive includes comprehensive protection: motor thermal, phase loss, overvoltage, undervoltage, ground fault, and overspeed.
