The Schneider Electric ATV9A0C13S6 is an Altivar Process ATV900 modular drive rated for 150 hp at 600 V normal duty and 125 hp at 600 V heavy duty, drawing 131 A and 112 A line current respectively. It handles both synchronous and asynchronous motors and includes an integrated EMC filter compliant with IEC 61800-3 category C3 for cable runs up to 300 m.
Supply architecture is split: digital inputs and STO need a 24 V DC supply in the 21–27 V range, while the reference potentiometer gets its own 10.5 V DC ±5 % rail. That means you cannot share a single 24 V bus between the control logic and the pot wiper without a separate regulator — the 10.5 V rail is dedicated.
Safety and connectivity
STO (Safe Torque Off) is built in at SIL 3, so you can wire a safety relay or light curtain directly without an external safety contactor. The drive also monitors motor phase break, output phase-to-earth faults, DC bus overvoltage, and line supply phase loss — all listed in the protection set. Three option slots (A, B, C) accept communication modules for Profibus DP V1, PROFINET, DeviceNet, CANopen, EtherCAT, plus I/O and encoder interface modules. Slot A is the typical fieldbus slot; slots B and C handle encoder feedback or relay extensions. The base unit includes dual RJ45 Ethernet IP/Modbus TCP ports and one RJ45 Modbus serial port, so you can talk to the PLC and a local HMI without an extra card.
