The ATV9A0C13T4 ships as a kit: one 160 kW power module, one control unit, mechanical mounting kits, the power connection set, and a set of fuses. No holes in the box — the fuses and mounting hardware are included, so the tech isn't stranded mid-install.
Supply rails and control wiring
The drive needs three separate 24 V DC supplies: one for digital inputs (19...30 V), one for the reference potentiometer (10.5 V DC ±5 % from an internal supply), and one for digital inputs and STO (21...27 V). The control block also carries two RJ45 Ethernet ports and one RJ45 Modbus serial port. Terminal blocks accept 0.5...1.5 mm² wire.
Motor power and duty ratings
Rated 200 hp at 480 V normal duty, 150 hp at 480 V heavy duty. Line current is 218 A normal duty, 168 A heavy duty. Apparent power is 181 kVA at 480 V normal duty, 140 kVA at 480 V heavy duty. The drive handles both synchronous and asynchronous motors.
Safety and compliance
Safe Torque Off (STO) is rated SIL 3. The drive carries CE marking and complies with IEC 61800-3, IEC 61800-5-1, IEC 61000-3-12, IEC 60721-3, IEC 61508, and IEC 13849-1. The integrated EMC filter meets IEC 61800-3 category C3 for 300 m motor cables.
Fieldbus and option slots
Three option slots (A, B, C) accept communication modules for Profibus DP V1, PROFINET, DeviceNet, EtherCAT, CANopen (RJ45, SUB-D 9, or screw terminals), plus digital/analog I/O extension and encoder interface modules (digital 5/12 V, analog, resolver). Slot A handles the communication module; slots B and C are for I/O or encoder feedback.
Switching frequency and altitude derating
Switching frequency is adjustable from 2 to 8 kHz, with derating above 2.5 kHz. Operating altitude is 0...4800 m with current derating above 1000 m.
