The Schneider ATV9A0C16T6 is a modular Altivar Process ATV900 drive rated for 175 hp at 600 V normal duty and 150 hp at 600 V heavy duty, pulling 152 A and 131 A line current respectively. It handles both synchronous and asynchronous motors, with an adjustable switching frequency from 2 to 4.9 kHz. The integrated EMC filter meets IEC 61800-3 category C3 for 300 m cable runs, and the drive carries a prospective line short-circuit current rating of 50 kA.
Supply and control architecture
The drive needs an external 24 V DC supply for digital inputs (19...30 V range) and a separate internal 24 V DC supply (21...27 V) for digital inputs and STO. There's also a 10.5 V DC ±5% internal supply for a reference potentiometer (1 to 10 kΩ). The control terminals are removable screw terminals accepting 0.5 to 1.5 mm² (AWG 20 to 16).
Fieldbus and option slots
Three option card slots (A, B, C) accept communication modules for Profibus DP V1, PROFINET, DeviceNet, EtherCAT, CANopen (RJ45, SUB-D 9, or screw terminals), plus digital/analog I/O and relay extension modules. Slot B also takes encoder interface modules (5/12 V digital, analog, or resolver). The drive ships as a slave on Modbus TCP and Modbus serial (2-wire RS-485, RTU, 1 to 247 addresses). Ethernet IP/Modbus TCP runs at 10/100 Mbit/s with half/full duplex and autonegotiation.
Cabinet mount, forced convection cooling. IP00 for integration into IP21 or IP54 cabinets per IEC 61800-5-1 and IEC 60529. UL type 1 or type 12 when cabinet-integrated. Relative humidity 5 to 95% without condensation. Vibration resistance: 1.5 mm peak-to-peak at 2–13 Hz, 0.5 gn at 13–200 Hz. Shock resistance: 4 gn for 11 ms.
This is a current-production drive in the Altivar Process ATV900 family.
