Product details

The Schneider ATV9A0C20R4 is a modular Altivar Process ATV900 drive sized for a 200 kW asynchronous or synchronous motor at 440 V normal duty, or 160 kW heavy duty. Line current pulls 325 A normal, 269 A heavy at 440 V. Switching frequency is adjustable 2 to 8 kHz with derating; the integrated EMC filter meets IEC 61800-3 category C3 for 300 m cable runs. STO SIL 3 is onboard.

Slot architecture and fieldbus

Three option card slots (A, B, C) accept Profibus DP V1, PROFINET, DeviceNet, EtherCAT, CANopen, or I/O extension modules. Slot B also handles 5/12 V digital encoder or analog/resolver encoder interfaces. Dual RJ45 on the control block for Ethernet IP/Modbus TCP at 10/100 Mbit/s; one separate RJ45 for Modbus serial at 4.8 to 38.4 kbit/s, 2-wire RS-485, RTU frame, addresses 1 to 247.

Supply and control wiring

Digital inputs and STO require a 24 V DC supply (21...27 V). A separate 24 V DC (19...30 V) feeds the digital inputs; the reference potentiometer (1 to 10 kOhm) gets 10.5 V DC ±5 %. Control connections use removable screw terminals accepting 0.5 to 1.5 mm² / AWG 20 to 16. Line-side connection is screw terminal; motor connection is M10 x 2 bars.
