The Schneider ATV9A0C20S6 is an Altivar Process ATV900 modular drive rated for 200 hp at 600 V normal duty and 175 hp at 600 V heavy duty, drawing 172 A and 152 A line current respectively. It handles synchronous and asynchronous motors, with an integrated EMC filter compliant to IEC 61800-3 category C3 for 300 m motor cable runs.
The 172 A normal-duty line current at 600 V defines the supply-side sizing for a 200 hp motor; the 152 A heavy-duty figure governs continuous overload capacity for higher-torque applications. Apparent power works out to 179 kVA normal duty, 158 kVA heavy duty — useful for transformer and cable sizing. Switching frequency is adjustable from 2 to 4.9 kHz with derating — stay toward 2 kHz for full rated current, or accept a current reduction for quieter motor operation at higher frequencies.
Integration notes
Cabinet-mount, IP00 rated for integration into IP21 or IP54 enclosures. Accepts option cards on slots A, B, and C for Profibus DP V1, PROFINET, DeviceNet, CANopen, EtherCAT, and digital/analog I/O or relay extension. Dual RJ45 Ethernet IP/Modbus TCP ports plus one RJ45 Modbus serial port are standard. Control wiring uses removable screw terminals 0.5–1.5 mm².
