Control supply and STO architecture

The ATV9A0C20T4: The control section requires an external 24 V DC supply (19...30 V) for digital inputs, and provides a separate internal 24 V DC (21...27 V) rail for digital inputs and Safe Torque Off. A 10.5 V DC ±5 % reference supply is available for a 1 to 10 kΩ potentiometer. The STO function is rated SIL 3, and the drive also includes thermal protection, motor phase break detection, and overcurrent/overvoltage protection on both the drive and line sides.

Fieldbus and I/O expansion

The drive ships with dual RJ45 ports for Ethernet IP/Modbus TCP and one RJ45 for Modbus serial. Slot A accepts communication modules for Profibus DP V1, PROFINET, DeviceNet, EtherCAT, or CANopen (RJ45, SUB-D 9, or screw terminals). Slots A, B, and C accept digital/analog I/O extension modules and output relay modules; Slot B also accepts encoder interface modules (5/12 V digital, analog, or resolver). Modbus serial runs at 4.8 to 38.4 kbit/s, RTU frame, addressing 1...247 slaves.
