Drive specs that matter for the BOM line
The ATV9A0C20T6: It handles both synchronous and asynchronous motors and ships with an integrated EMC filter rated for 300 m cable runs to IEC 61800-3 category C3 – that means you can skip an external filter for most installations. STO (safe torque off) SIL3 is built in.
Cabinet integration and wiring
Cabinet-mount only, forced convection cooling – keep ventilation clear. Control connections use removable screw terminals (0.5…1.5 mm² / AWG 20…16). Line side uses screw terminals, motor bars are M10. Slot A accepts communication modules: Profibus DP V1, PROFINET, DeviceNet, EtherCAT, CANopen daisy chain or SUB-D. Slots A/B/C also accept digital/analog I/O extension and output relay modules. Slot B offers encoder interfaces (digital 5/12 V, analog, resolver). No fieldbus card is pre-installed – factor that into your order if you need Profinet or Ethernet/IP. Supply for digital inputs is external 24 V DC (19…30 V). A separate 10.5 V DC supply (±5%) for a reference pot (1…10 kΩ) and another 24 V DC supply (21…27 V) for digital inputs and STO are generated internally. Watch the 24 V rail for STO – it's isolated and voltage specific. IP00 from the factory – intended for IP21 or IP54 cabinet integration. Degree of protection UL type 1 and type 12 when properly housed.
