Product details

The ATV9A0C31Q4 is a modular Altivar Process ATV900 drive sized for a 315 kW asynchronous or synchronous motor at 400 V normal duty, or 250 kW heavy duty. Line current runs 538 A normal duty, 432 A heavy duty; apparent power is 373 kVA normal, 299 kVA heavy. The integrated EMC filter meets IEC 61800-3 category C3 for 300 m cable runs, so no external filter is needed for most industrial installations.

Supply and control wiring

Digital inputs and STO are powered by an internal 24 V DC supply (21...27 V). An external 24 V DC supply (19...30 V) can feed the digital inputs separately. The reference potentiometer (1 to 10 kOhm) gets a dedicated 10.5 V DC ±5 % supply. Control connections are removable screw terminals, 0.5...1.5 mm² / AWG 20...16. Line-side connection uses screw terminals; motor connection uses M10 x 2 bars. Modbus serial is 2-wire RS 485, RTU frame, 1...247 addresses, at 4.8 to 38.4 kbit/s. Ethernet IP/Modbus TCP runs at 10/100 Mbit/s, half or full duplex, auto-negotiation, on two RJ45 ports.

Fieldbus and I/O expansion

Slot A accepts communication modules for Profibus DP V1, PROFINET, DeviceNet, EtherCAT, or CANopen (daisy chain RJ45, SUB-D 9, or screw terminals). Slots A, B, and C accept digital/analog I/O extension modules and output relay extension modules. Slot B also accepts a 5/12 V digital encoder interface, analog encoder interface, or resolver encoder interface. This gives flexibility to adapt the drive to existing control networks without a gateway.
