The Schneider ATV9A0C35T4 is a modular Altivar Process ATV900 drive sized for a 550 HP induction or synchronous motor at 480 V normal duty, or 450 HP heavy duty. Line current lands at 586 A normal duty, 486 A heavy duty; apparent power is 487 kVA normal, 404 kVA heavy. The switching frequency is adjustable from 2 to 8 kHz, with derating above 2.5 kHz. Safe torque off (STO) is built in to SIL 3, and the drive carries integrated EMC filter compliant with IEC 61800-3 category C3 for 300 m cable runs.
Supply and control architecture
Control power comes from a 24 V DC external supply (19...30 V) for digital inputs, plus a separate 24 V DC internal supply (21...27 V) for digital inputs and STO. A 10.5 V DC reference supply is available for a 1 to 10 kOhm potentiometer. Insulation resistance is 1 MOhm at 500 V DC for 1 minute to earth. The control block carries two RJ45 ports for Ethernet IP/Modbus TCP at 10/100 Mbit/s and one RJ45 for Modbus serial at 4.8 to 38.4 kbit/s. Option card slots A, B, and C accept Profibus DP V1, PROFINET, DeviceNet, EtherCAT, CANopen, digital/analog I/O, relay, and encoder interface modules.
Cabinet-mount design with IP00 protection (requires IP21 or IP54 cabinet). Forced convection cooling; noise level 71 dB per 86/188/EEC. Operating altitude up to 4800 m with derating above 1000 m. Shock resistance 7 gn for 11 ms; vibration resistance 1.5 mm peak-to-peak at 2–13 Hz and 0.5 gn at 13–200 Hz. Relative humidity 5–95% without condensation. Pollution degree 2 per IEC 61800-5-1.
