The ATV9A0C63Q6 is a modular variable speed drive from Schneider's Altivar Process ATV900 series, designed for synchronous and asynchronous motors up to 630 kW at 690 V normal duty, drawing 615 A line current. In heavy duty, it delivers 500 kW at 495 A line current, with an apparent power of 735 kVA normal and 592 kVA heavy. The drive includes integrated STO safety function rated SIL 3, and an integrated EMC filter compliant with IEC 61800-3 category C3 for 300 m cable runs. Three option card slots (A, B, C) accept fieldbus modules including Profibus DP, PROFINET, DeviceNet, EtherCAT, and CANopen, as well as digital/analog I/O extensions, relay outputs, and encoder interfaces for resolver or 5/12 V digital encoders. Internal power supplies provide 24 V DC for digital inputs and STO (21–27 V), plus a 10.5 V DC reference for a 1–10 kΩ potentiometer. The control board uses removable screw terminals accepting 0.5–1.5 mm² (AWG 20–16).
Prospective line short-circuit current rating is 50 kA, suitable for industrial distribution panels with high fault capacity.
Cabinet-mount design with IP00 base rating; install in an IP21 or IP54 cabinet to meet the intended degree of protection. Operating altitude up to 2000 m (derate above 1000 m), ambient temperature range not stated but humidity 5–95% non-condensing per IEC 60068-2-3. Cooled by forced convection. Switching frequency adjustable 2–4.9 kHz with derating; vibration resistance 1.5 mm peak-to-peak at 2–13 Hz and 0.5 gn at 13–200 Hz per IEC 60068-2-6. Shock rated 4 gn for 11 ms per IEC 60068-2-27. Line-side connection via screw terminals; motor connection uses M10 × 2 bars. The kit includes the control unit, power module (200 kW rated), mounting hardware, power connection set, fuses, and front cover.
