The ATV9A0C80T6: Normal duty line current is 670 A at 600 V; heavy duty drops to 547 A at 600 V – match the duty class to your load profile. Apparent power is 696 kVA normal duty, 568 kVA heavy duty. Prospective short-circuit current rating is 50 kA. Switching frequency is adjustable 2 to 4.9 kHz with a derating factor – plan for reduced current output at higher carrier frequencies. The drive handles both synchronous and asynchronous motors. Integrated EMC filter is category C3 per IEC 61800-3, good for 300 m shielded cable runs without an external filter. Total harmonic current distortion (THDI) stays below 48 % from 80 to 100 % load.
Protection and safety coverage
Additional protections cover the motor and drive: thermal, overcurrent, short-circuit, phase loss, overvoltage, undervoltage, overshoot, overspeed, and control circuit break. The drive complies with IEC 61800-3 (EMC), IEC 61800-5-1 (safety), UL 61800-5-1, and pollution degree 2. Vibration resistance: 1.5 mm peak-peak at 2-13 Hz, 0.5 gn at 13-200 Hz. Communication and control interfaces
Built-in Modbus serial (RS-485 2-wire, RTU, 1 to 247 addresses) at 4.8 to 38.4 kbit/s. Slot A accepts optional Profibus DP V1, PROFINET, DeviceNet, EtherCAT, or CANopen (RJ45, SUB-D 9, or screw terminals) communication modules. Ethernet IP/Modbus TCP at 10/100 Mbit/s supports half/full duplex and auto-negotiation. Slot B accepts encoder interface modules (digital 5/12 V, analog, or resolver).
