The Schneider Electric ATV9B0C13Q6 is a modular Altivar Process ATV900 variable frequency drive sized for 132 kW at 690 V normal duty (110 kW heavy duty), with a line current of 122 A normal duty and 102 A heavy duty at 690 V. It drives both synchronous and asynchronous motors, and its integrated EMC filter meets IEC 61800-3 category C3 for conducted emissions up to 300 m of motor cable.
The 132 kW normal-duty rating at 690 V is the headline motor power for continuous variable-torque loads like pumps and fans. The heavy-duty 110 kW rating applies for constant-torque or high-starting-torque applications such as conveyors or extruders, where the drive must deliver rated current for longer acceleration periods. The corresponding line currents — 122 A normal duty, 102 A heavy duty — govern input-side conductor and fuse sizing. This is a hard requirement for any safety-related drive application — it removes the need for an external safety contactor in many machine-safety architectures. The integrated EMC filter is category C3, which is standard for industrial environments with a dedicated transformer or separate supply. It limits conducted emissions so the drive can be installed without an external filter in most industrial panels, but note that C3 is not suitable for residential or public low-voltage networks without additional attenuation.
Control supply and fieldbus architecture
The control section needs an external 24 V DC supply (19...30 V) for the digital inputs, plus a separate internal 24 V DC supply (21...27 V) for the digital inputs and STO logic. There is also a 10.5 V DC ±5 % reference output for a 1 to 10 kΩ potentiometer. This means the drive requires a clean 24 V control supply — do not share it with solenoid or contactor coils without isolation. Communication is handled via two RJ45 ports for Ethernet IP / Modbus TCP (10/100 Mbit/s) and one RJ45 for Modbus serial (RTU, 4.8 to 38.4 kbit/s). The Modbus serial uses 2-wire RS-485 with no impedance polarization, so you will need external bias resistors if the bus has more than a few nodes. Slot A accepts option cards for Profibus DP V1, PROFINET, DeviceNet, CANopen, or EtherCAT — choose the card that matches your PLC network.
