The Schneider Electric ATV9B0C16Q4 is an Altivar Process ATV900 modular drive rated for 160 kW at 400 V normal duty and 132 kW heavy duty. Line current pulls 252 A at 400 V normal duty, 208 A heavy duty. It handles both asynchronous and synchronous motors, with an integrated EMC filter compliant to IEC 61800-3 category C3 for 300 m cable runs.
Safety and control
Safe torque off (STO) is built in to SIL 3, covering both motor and drive. The control supply accepts 24 V DC (19...30 V) for digital inputs and a separate 24 V DC (21...27 V) for STO and digital inputs. An internal 10.5 V DC reference supplies a 1 to 10 kOhm potentiometer. Three option-card slots (A, B, C) accept communication modules for Profibus DP V1, PROFINET, DeviceNet, CANopen, EtherCAT, plus digital/analog I/O and relay extensions. Slot B also takes 5/12 V digital encoder, analog encoder, or resolver interface modules.
Fieldbus and connectivity
Two RJ45 ports for Ethernet IP/Modbus TCP at 10/100 Mbit/s, plus one RJ45 for Modbus serial (RS-485, 2-wire) at 4.8 to 38.4 kbit/s. Modbus serial uses RTU frame, 8-bit data with configurable parity, addressing 1 to 247.
Switching frequency and derating
Switching frequency is adjustable from 2 to 8 kHz with derating above 2.5 kHz. Operating altitude up to 4800 m with current derating above 1000 m. Ambient relative humidity 5 to 95% non-condensing. Vibration resistance 1.5 mm peak-to-peak at 2-13 Hz, 0.5 gn at 13-200 Hz.
