Drive ratings and control supply
The ATV9B0C20N6 is a modular Altivar Process ATV900 drive sized for 132 kW at 500 V normal duty, with a 110 kW heavy-duty rating and a regenerative-mode normal-duty rating of 110 kW. Line current at 500 V runs 169 A normal duty, 141 A heavy duty, and 114 A in regenerative normal duty. The control supply architecture is split: digital inputs take 24 V DC (19...30 V), the STO circuit and its digital inputs take a separate 24 V DC (21...27 V), and there is an internal 10.5 V DC ±5 % reference supply for a 1 to 10 kΩ potentiometer.
Safety and EMC
Safe Torque Off (STO) is integrated at SIL 3, covering both motor and drive thermal protection, phase loss, overcurrent between output phases and earth, short-circuit, overvoltage on the DC bus, and line supply undervoltage. The EMC filter is integrated and rated for 300 m cable runs under IEC 61800-3 category C3, which suits industrial environments with a dedicated transformer or separate power feed.
Communications and expansion
The drive ships with dual RJ45 Ethernet IP/Modbus TCP ports and one RJ45 Modbus serial port, running at 10/100 Mbit/s on the Ethernet side and 4.8 to 38.4 kbit/s on the serial side. Slot A accepts Profibus DP V1, PROFINET, DeviceNet, CANopen (RJ45, SUB-D 9, or screw terminals), or EtherCAT communication modules. Slots A, B, and C can also take digital/analog I/O extension modules or output relay extension modules; slot B additionally supports 5/12 V digital encoder, analog encoder, or resolver interface modules.
Cabinet-mount design with IP00 rating for integration into IP21 or IP54 enclosures. Accepts line-side screw terminals and M10 motor bars. Switching frequency is adjustable from 2 to 4.9 kHz with derating. Operating altitude is 0 to 2000 m with current derating above 1000 m. Vibration resistance is 1.5 mm peak-to-peak at 2–13 Hz and 0.5 gn at 13–200 Hz.
