The Schneider ATV9B0C20T6 is an Altivar Process ATV900 modular drive sized for 200 hp at 600 V normal duty, with a line current of 161 A at that rating. Heavy-duty and regenerative-mode ratings are also listed: 175 hp / 142 A heavy duty, 175 hp / 96 A regenerative heavy duty at 600 V.
Control supply and safety
The control board needs an external 24 V DC supply for digital inputs (19...30 V range), plus a separate 24 V DC rail for the digital inputs and STO circuit (21...27 V). There's also an internal 10.5 V DC reference for a 1 to 10 kOhm potentiometer. The STO function is rated SIL 3 per IEC 61508 / IEC 13849-1 — that's the safety torque-off that removes motor torque without a main contactor, which simplifies wiring on safety-rated lines.
Fieldbus and I/O expansion
The drive ships with dual RJ45 Ethernet IP/Modbus TCP ports and one RJ45 Modbus serial port. Slot A accepts fieldbus option cards for Profibus DP V1, PROFINET, DeviceNet, CANopen (RJ45 or SUB-D 9 or screw terminals), or EtherCAT. Slots A, B, and C also accept digital/analog I/O extension modules and output relay modules. Slot B has dedicated encoder interface modules (5/12 V digital, analog, resolver). That's a lot of flexibility for a single drive — you can match the network to the rest of the line without a separate gateway.
EMC and power quality
The integrated EMC filter meets IEC 61800-3 category C3 for 300 m cable runs — that covers most industrial installations without an external filter. Total harmonic current distortion (THDI) is under 5% at full load per IEEE 519, which keeps the drive from polluting the plant's distribution.
