The ATV9B0C25N6: Motor power: 160 kW at 500 V normal duty, 132 kW heavy duty. Line current at 500 V normal duty is 204 A, heavy duty 169 A — use the heavy-duty current for cable and fuse sizing if the load profile is continuous full torque. That means the drive can be used in safety-related applications up to SIL 3 without an external safety contactor — clean signal path for the safety CPU, just wire the STO inputs directly to the safety relay or PLC safety output. Integrated EMC filter meets IEC 61800-3 category C3 for 300 m cable runs. That covers most industrial installations without an external filter; if the line is longer or you need Category C2 for residential environments, plan for an add-on output filter. Switching frequency adjustable 2 to 4.9 kHz with derating. For a 160 kW motor, running at 2 kHz keeps thermal losses manageable; pushing to 4.9 kHz quiets the motor but derates output current — check the derating curve in the manual before committing the BOM line.
Fieldbus and I/O options
Comes with dual RJ45 Ethernet IP/Modbus TCP on terminal 1, plus a separate RJ45 for Modbus serial. Slot A accepts Profibus DP V1, PROFINET, DeviceNet, CANopen (RJ45 or SUB-D 9 or screw terminals), or EtherCAT. Slots A, B, and C can take digital/analog I/O extension modules or output relay modules. Slot B also accepts encoder interfaces (5/12 V digital, analog, or resolver). That gives flexibility to match whatever fieldbus the controls integrator has already committed to — no need to respin the cabinet layout.
