The Schneider ATV9B0C45Q4 is a modular Altivar Process ATV900 drive rated for 450 kW at 400 V normal duty and 355 kW heavy duty, drawing 697 A line current at 400 V normal duty. It handles both asynchronous and synchronous motors. The integrated EMC filter meets IEC 61800-3 category C3 for installations with up to 300 m of motor cable. The drive carries STO (safe torque off) rated SIL 3, so you can integrate it into safety circuits without an external safety relay for the torque-off function.

Control wiring and fieldbus

Digital inputs and STO are powered by an internal 24 V DC supply (21...27 V) or an external 24 V DC supply (19...30 V). There's also a 10.5 V DC reference for a 1 to 10 kOhm potentiometer. The drive has three option card slots (A, B, C) for Profibus DP V1, PROFINET, DeviceNet, CANopen, EtherCAT, or encoder interfaces. It also includes two RJ45 ports for Ethernet/IP and Modbus TCP, plus one RJ45 for Modbus serial at 4.8 to 38.4 kbit/s. The switching frequency is adjustable from 2 to 8 kHz, with derating above 2.5 kHz.
