The Schneider ATV9B0C50N6 is a modular Altivar Process ATV900 drive rated for 355 kW at 500 V normal duty, with a corresponding line current of 446 A. In heavy duty the motor power drops to 280 kW at 352 A; regenerative-mode ratings are 355 kW / 375 A normal duty and 280 kW / 295 A heavy duty. The drive handles both synchronous and asynchronous motors, with an adjustable switching frequency from 2 to 4.9 kHz and derating above 1000 m altitude.
Built-in safety and EMC
Safe Torque Off (STO) is integrated at SIL 3, covering motor and drive thermal protection, phase loss, overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, and overspeed. The EMC filter is integrated and rated for 300 m cable at IEC 61800-3 category C3, with total harmonic current distortion under 5 % at full load per IEEE 519.
Communication and expansion
The drive ships with dual RJ45 Ethernet IP/Modbus TCP ports and one RJ45 Modbus serial port (2-wire RS-485, RTU, 4.8–38.4 kbit/s). Slot A accepts Profibus DP V1, PROFINET, DeviceNet, CANopen, or EtherCAT modules; slots A, B, and C accept digital/analog I/O or output relay extensions. Slot B also handles encoder interfaces (5/12 V digital, analog, resolver).
