The Schneider ATV9B0C63T6 is an Altivar Process ATV900 modular drive, rated for 650 hp at 600 V normal duty and 550 hp at 600 V heavy duty. Line current runs 511 A normal duty, 434 A heavy duty, and the drive handles regenerative loads at 361 A normal duty, 295 A heavy duty. Apparent power is 531 kVA at 600 V normal duty, 451 kVA heavy duty. Motor phase loss, overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, and overspeed protections are all built in, with STO (safe torque off) rated SIL 3.
Slot assignments and fieldbus
Slot A accepts a Profibus DP V1, PROFINET, DeviceNet, CANopen (RJ45, SUB-D 9, or screw terminals), or EtherCAT communication module. Slots A, B, and C accept digital/analog I/O extension modules or output relay extension modules. Slot B also takes 5/12 V digital encoder, analog encoder, or resolver interface modules. The drive has two RJ45 Ethernet IP/Modbus TCP ports and one RJ45 Modbus serial port. Modbus serial runs RTU at 4.8, 9.6, 19.2, or 38.4 kbit/s; Ethernet ports run 10/100 Mbit/s.
Control supply and wiring
Digital inputs need an external 24 V DC supply (19...30 V). The drive provides an internal 10.5 V DC ±5 % reference for a 1 to 10 kOhm potentiometer, and a separate internal 24 V DC (21...27 V) supply for digital inputs and STO. Control wiring uses removable screw terminals accepting 0.5...1.5 mm² (AWG 20...16). Line-side connection is screw terminal; motor connection uses M10 x 2 bars.
EMC and compliance
An integrated EMC filter meets IEC 61800-3 category C3 for 300 m cable runs. Total harmonic current distortion (THDI) is under 5 % at full load per IEEE 519. The drive complies with IEC 61800-3, IEC 61800-5-1, IEC 61000-3-12, IEC 60721-3, IEC 61508, IEC 13849-1, and UL 61800-5-1. Marking is CE. Pollution degree 2 per IEC 61800-5-1. Prospective line short-circuit current is 50 kA. Operating altitude is 0 to 2000 m with derating above 1000 m.
