The ATV9B0C80Q4 is a modular Altivar Process ATV900 drive sized for 800 kW at 400 V normal duty and 630 kW at 400 V heavy duty, with matching line currents of 1227 A and 971 A respectively. Regenerative-mode ratings are also specified: 800 kW / 1087 A normal duty, 630 kW / 851.6 A heavy duty. Apparent power runs 850 kVA at 400 V normal duty and 673 kVA heavy duty; regenerative modes deliver 753.1 kVA and 590 kVA respectively. The drive handles both synchronous and asynchronous motors. Switching frequency is adjustable from 2 to 8 kHz, with a derating factor applied above 2.5 kHz. The integrated EMC filter meets IEC 61800-3 category C3 for 300 m cable runs.

Cabinet-mount design, IP00 rated (requires IP21 or IP54 cabinet integration per IEC 61800-5-1). Forced convection cooling; noise level 78 dB. Operating altitude up to 4800 m with current derating above 1000 m. Three option-card slots (A, B, C) accept communication modules for Profibus DP V1, PROFINET, DeviceNet, CANopen, EtherCAT, plus digital/analog I/O and relay extension modules. Slot B also supports encoder interfaces (digital 5/12 V, analog, resolver). Safety function: STO (safe torque off) rated SIL 3. Protection covers motor and drive thermal, phase break, short-circuit, overvoltage, undervoltage, overspeed, and control circuit break.

Dual RJ45 ports for Ethernet IP/Modbus TCP (10/100 Mbit/s), plus one RJ45 for Modbus serial (4.8 to 38.4 kbit/s, RTU frame, 2-wire RS 485, 1 to 247 addresses). Supply for digital inputs and STO: 24 V DC (21...27 V). External supply for digital inputs: 24 V DC (19...30 V). Internal reference potentiometer supply: 10.5 V DC ±5 %.
