The Schneider ATV9B0C80Q6 is an Altivar Process ATV900 modular drive rated for 800 kW at 690 V normal duty and 630 kW at 690 V heavy duty, with line currents of 718 A and 569 A respectively. It handles synchronous and asynchronous motors and includes an integrated EMC filter compliant with IEC 61800-3 category C3 for cable runs up to 300 m.
If your motor nameplate is 630 kW and the load profile includes sustained overloads, this drive handles it without derating. The regenerative-mode ratings (630 kW normal, 500 kW heavy) apply when the drive must return energy to the line — common in hoisting or centrifuge duty. Switching frequency is adjustable from 2 to 4.9 kHz with derating. At the default 2 kHz you get full rated current; pushing to 4.9 kHz reduces output current — factor that into your motor's audible noise and cable-length budget. Safe Torque Off (STO) is built in at SIL 3 per IEC 61508, so you can eliminate an external safety relay for many applications. The drive also provides thermal protection, overcurrent, phase loss, and overspeed monitoring on both the motor and drive sides.
Integration notes
Line-side and motor connections are M10 bus bars. The drive has two RJ45 Ethernet ports for IP/Modbus TCP and one RJ45 for Modbus serial (RS-485, 2-wire).
