The ATV9B0M10N6 drives asynchronous and synchronous motors at 710 kW on 500 V supply under normal duty, or 560 kW under heavy duty — the heavy-duty figure governs continuous overload capability for constant-torque loads like conveyors and extruders. Line current at 500 V normal duty is 884 A; heavy duty draws 701 A. These values determine the upstream fuse and cable cross-section per IEC 61800-5-1.
Safety integration and EMC compliance
The integrated EMC filter meets IEC 61800-3 category C3 with 300 m motor cable — this is the industrial second-environment limit; installation in a residential first-environment requires an external filter.
Fieldbus and I/O expansion
Three option slots (A, B, C) accept communication modules for Profibus DP V1, PROFINET, EtherCAT, DeviceNet, or CANopen, plus digital/analog I/O and encoder interface cards — the drive ships without these fitted; order the module matching your network topology. Dual RJ45 ports serve EtherNet/IP and Modbus TCP at 10/100 Mbit/s; a separate RS-485 port runs Modbus serial at up to 38.4 kbit/s for legacy fieldbus integration.
Cabinet integration and environmental limits
The drive is IP00 chassis — it must be installed in a cabinet rated IP21 or IP54 per IEC 61800-5-1. Forced convection cooling requires clearance above and below the heatsink per the mounting instruction. Operating altitude is 0–2000 m with current derating above 1000 m; ambient relative humidity range is 5–95% non-condensing. Vibration resistance is 1.5 mm peak-to-peak at 2–13 Hz and 0.5 gn at 13–200 Hz per IEC 60068-2-6.
