Rack Overview
The Schneider Electric BMEXBP0800 is an active Modicon X80 rack providing 8 bus X + Ethernet slots for mounting I/O modules in a control cabinet or vessel automation panel. It mounts by 4 screws (diameter 4.32...6.35 mm), by 4 M6 screws on a plate, or by clips on a 35 mm symmetrical DIN rail, offering flexibility for shipboard and industrial installations. The backplane complies with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU and the EMC Directive 2014/30/EU, simplifying type approval for marine class societies.
Integration Data
Current draw is 64 mA at 3.3 V DC and 164 mA at 24 V DC; corresponding power consumption is 211 mW at 3.3 V DC and 3.9 W at 24 V DC. This leaves headroom on the backplane power supply for additional modules. The electrical connection uses a single connector (XBE expansion module) for daisy-chaining racks. Rated MTBF is 1,297,516 hours, a reliability figure suited for continuous operation in marine machinery spaces. Operating temperature range is 0...60 °C with relative humidity 5...95 % without condensation, covering engine room ambient conditions. IP20 degree of protection is adequate for installation inside a closed electrical enclosure.
Compliance & Lifecycle
The product lifecycle status is active, assuring long-term availability for new installations and spares provisioning. Compliance with the low voltage and EMC directives is documented, which eases acceptance by classification societies.
