Motor profile and key constraints
The BMI0702P11A: Three-phase BMI servo motor for 208-480 V supply; nominal power output depends on the connected voltage: 400 W at 208 V, 800 W at 400 V, and 900 W at 480 V. Absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface feedback eliminates the need for a homing sequence on each power-up. Integrated EMC filter simplifies panel layout and reduces external filter count. Natural convection cooled – no auxiliary fan required, but thermal performance must be derated if mounted in a confined cavity without airflow.
Torque and speed behaviour
Nominal torque varies with supply voltage: 2.4 N·m at 208 V, 2.2 N·m at 400 V, 2.0 N·m at 480 V. Peak stall torque holds at 6.8 N·m across the entire voltage range – critical for brief acceleration or load transients. Maximum current is 9.6 A at all voltage levels.
Mechanical integration notes
Flange size 70 mm with international standard mounting; centring collar diameter 60 mm, depth 2.5 mm. Keyed shaft of 11 mm diameter and 23 mm length; no second shaft end. Overall length 268 mm. IP65 over the housing, IP54 at the shaft – suitable for installation in damp or wash-down environments but not submersion. Max radial force on the shaft is speed-dependent: 710 N at 1000 rpm, dropping to 390 N at 6000 rpm. Axial force limited to 20 % of the radial rating. Electrical connection is via a printed circuit board connector; no holding brake fitted. For vertical loads or emergency stops, an external brake must be added.
