The BMXART0814H is an 8-channel analog input module from the Modicon X80 range, designed for thermocouple and RTD sensors with full channel-to-channel isolation and a 16-bit sigma-delta converter. It accepts voltage signals from ±40 mV to ±1.28 V, resistive sensors up to 4000 Ω, and a wide range of thermocouple types (B, E, J, K, L, N, R, S, T, U) as well as Pt100, Pt1000, Ni100, Ni1000, and Cu10 RTDs. Read cycle time runs 400 ms for RTD probes and 200 ms for thermocouples, with a resolution of 0.1 °C across all temperature probes.
Mounting and environmental resilience
Conformal coated, rated for severe environments and gas (Gx/3C4), dust/sand (3S4), salt (level 2), mold/fungal (3B2) resistance, and Class I Division 2 hazardous locations. Operates -25 to 70 °C, 30 gn shock, 3 gn vibration, IP20. Electrical connection is via two 40-way connectors. Channel-to-channel isolation means a fault on one input won't pull down the others—critical for mixed-sensor panels. Internal cold-junction compensation uses an external Pt100 probe. Common-mode rejection is 120 dB, differential-mode rejection 60 dB at 50/60 Hz.
