Overview
The BMXDAI16142 is a Modicon X80 discrete input module providing 16 isolated inputs rated for 100 to 120 V AC at 60 Hz, drawing 85.0 W from the backplane. It is sealed to IP20, rated for shock up to 30 gn, and remains in active production with no end-of-life notice.
Selection and sizing
The 85.0 W power draw is the module's full-load consumption from the X80 rack; verify the backplane power supply has headroom for this plus other modules in the slot. Compared to the BMXDDO3202, a 32-point solid-state output module, the BMXDAI16142 is an input-only module with no output channels, so it cannot replace the BMXDDO3202 in a panel without rewiring the field wiring and reconfiguring the I/O map.
