The BMXDDI3202K: Each input draws 2.5 mA at 24 V DC, and the threshold for a guaranteed ON state is above 11 V at 2 mA. That Type 3 compliance per IEC 61131-2 means it'll read limit switches and prox sensors even after a long cable run or a voltage drop. Hot-swap capable — pull a module mid-cycle and the rack keeps running. The fallback state is configurable, so no uncontrolled starts when you slide a new one in.
The BMXDDI3202K is 86 mm deep, 32 mm wide, and 134.6 mm tall — a slim slice of DIN rail real estate. With IP20 protection, it's suited for inside a cabinet, not out in the weather. Plan for a clean, dry enclosure. Rated for 30 gn shock and 3 gn vibration, so it'll survive a machine that hammers and shakes. Stores from -40 to 85 °C; runs in 0–60 °C ambient. Pollution degree 2 means you're in a normal factory environment — no conductive dust or condensation expected. But for peace of mind, the module has reverse-polarity protection and needs one external 0.5 A fast-blow fuse per group of channels.
Carries CE, UKCA, CULus, RCM, and EAC markings, and meets the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU and EMC Directive 2014/30/EU. MTBF is 905,000 hours — you'll replace the machine before this module gives up. The module is backed by Schneider's standard version protective treatment. Isolation between channels and the backplane is 1500 V AC for one minute, and between channel groups is 500 V DC.
