Overview
The BMXERT1604H is a Schneider Modicon X80 multifunction input module, order code BMXERT1604H, providing 4 channels for time-synchronized digital/analog acquisition at 24 V DC or 125 V DC. It is designed for severe environments with conformal coating and resistance to gas, dust, salt, and mold.
This module synchronizes plant-wide events via DCF77 or IRIG-B time-code input, stamping acquired data with 1 ms resolution. Acquisition runs at 1 ms per channel with a 0.5 ms sampling duration, and the anti-bounce filter is configurable from 0 to 255 ms to suppress contact chatter on dry contacts or proximity sensors. Hot-swap capability allows module replacement without powering down the rack — critical for line-up maintenance. Sixteen input-status LEDs plus RUN, ERR, T, and I/O LEDs give immediate visual feedback on module health and signal state.
Applications
The BMXERT1604H is specified for process and utility automation in harsh environments — offshore platforms, chemical plants, water treatment, and power substations — where gas (class Gx, class 3C4), dust (class 3S4), salt (level 2), and mold (class 3B2) resistance is required.
