Processor module for the M340 rack
BMXP3420102CL is a Modicon M340 processor module that sits on the backplane and draws its 90 mA at 24 V DC from the rack supply — no separate power connection. It's rated for IEC 61131-2 and UL 61010-2-201, so it passes into a UL 508A panel without compliance hassle.
Execution speed and memory
Boolean execution at 0.12 µs, single-length words at 0.25 µs, floating point at 1.16 µs. Internal RAM totals 4096 kB (3584 kB for program/constants, 256 kB for data). Supports up to 4 racks and 256 analog I/O. One fast task at 0.13 ms overhead handles time-critical loops.

Integrated CANopen master on a SUB-D 9 port runs at 20 kbit/s to 1 Mbit/s, managing up to 63 slaves. Two serial RJ45 ports handle Modbus RTU/ASCII and character mode on RS232 or RS485, with non-isolated links up to 10 m or isolated up to 1000 m. A USB port at 12 Mbit/s is available for programming.
