The Schneider BMXP3420302CL is an active-production M340 processor module with Transparent Ready CANopen — it acts as CANopen master on the SUB-D 9 port (up to 63 CANopen devices) while running Ethernet TCP/IP via RJ45 for Modbus TCP messaging, SNMP, or Rack Viewer. Boolean logic executes in 0.12 µs, single-length words in 0.25 µs, floating point in 1.16 µs. Internal RAM totals 4096 kB: 256 kB data, 3584 kB for program/constants/symbols. Supports up to 4 racks, 1024 discrete local I/O and 256 analog I/O. The task architecture allows one cyclic master task, one periodic fast task, and up to 64 event tasks — no auxiliary task slot. Power comes from the rack backplane; the module draws 135 mA at 24 V DC. Operating range 0 to 60 °C, IP20, 5 to 95 % relative humidity non-condensing.
Integration Notes
Requires a memory card to boot — not supplied with the module. Order one separately; without it the processor will not run. The USB port runs 12 Mbit/s for local programming. CANopen bus transmission rate range: 20 kbit/s to 1 Mbit/s, distance dependent on baud rate (e.g. 0–20 m at 1 Mbit/s, up to 2500 m at 20 kbit/s). Mounts in any M340 rack slot. Protective coating (TC) applied for mild corrosive environments. Compliance markings include CE, UL, CSA, RCM, EAC, UKCA, China RoHS, WEEE, and IEC. Meets LV directive 2014/35/EU, EMC directive 2014/30/EU, and WEEE 2012/19/EU. For analog I/O, the processor handles up to 256 channels; for discrete I/O up to 1024 channels. Communication module capacity: 2 Ethernet communication modules and 4 AS-Interface modules.
