The BMXPRA0100 is a peripheral remote I/O adaptor in the Modicon X80 range – it connects a remote drop of X80 I/O modules to a controller via a single Ethernet/IP port carrying Modbus TCP. The module draws 95 mA from the rack backplane and dissipates 2.3 W, leaving headroom for additional I/O slices in the same rack. It carries a real-time clock and dual memory: 448 kB internal, plus a removable 96 kB card for program retention or data logging. The clock stays alive with the rack supply – no separate battery to schedule. Operating temperature spans -25…70°C, which covers most untreated cabinets and outdoor installations within 2000 m altitude. Storage range is -40…85°C. Hazardous location approval (Class I Div 2) and ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU compliance let you install the adaptor in Zone 2 or Division 2 environments without an additional purge or enclosure.
The BMXCRA31210 is the nearest alternative: both are X80 remote I/O adaptors. BMXPRA0100 has one Ethernet/IP port with Modbus TCP; BMXCRA31210 has three ports and supports ring topology (RSTP).
