Backplane extension cable for Modicon M340
BMXXBC050K extends the Modicon M340 local bus between racks via a 5 m shielded cable, terminated with two SUB-D 9 male connectors. It chains the backplane bus signal so the remote rack behaves as a contiguous part of the CPU's I/O map — no additional bus controller needed. The cable length of 5 m sets the maximum spacing between racks in a daisy-chain. Shorter delays than a bus repeater, but verify the CPU's total bus length budget for multi-drop configurations.
