630 A, 4-pole MCCB with MicroLogic 6.0 LSI protection
It carries a MicroLogic 6.0 electronic trip unit providing LSI protection — long-time (L) for overload, short-time (S) for short-time short-circuit, and instantaneous (I) for high-fault clearing. The H breaking capacity code delivers 70 kA Icu at 380/415 V AC, 50/60 Hz per IEC 60947-2, making it suitable for distribution switchboards where high fault current and selectivity are required. Rated 630 A at 50 °C, this breaker sits in the ComPacT NS630b...1600 new generation family, used for main or feeder protection in LV distribution panels. The 4P configuration with neutral left handles three-phase plus neutral loads without a separate neutral disconnect.
The H-rated frame gives 85 kA Icu at 240 V, 70 kA at 415 V, 65 kA at 440 V, and 42 kA at 690 V AC. For a 630 A main breaker on a 415 V system, 70 kA Icu provides solid short-circuit withstand for most industrial service-entrance applications — enough headroom for coordination with downstream 25–50 kA rated feeders. Category B utilization (IEC 60947-2) means it is designed for selectivity, not just cable protection.
Fixed mount on a backplate, 327 mm high × 280 mm wide × 147 mm deep. Front-side connection both top and bottom — no rear-access requirement.
Trip unit and diagnostics
MicroLogic 6.0 is fully electronic, with 20-minute thermal memory for accurate overload replay after a trip. Four red LEDs indicate fault type (long-time, short-time, instantaneous, ground fault) and one yellow LED signals overload pre-alarm — useful for field troubleshooting without plugging in a handheld. No earth-leakage protection built in; add a Vigi module externally if ground-fault protection is needed.
