The Schneider Electric C104TM016C is a TM-D thermal-magnetic trip unit for the ComPacT NSX100...250 range, rated 16 A at 50 °C, 4 poles (4D), and built to EN/IEC 60947-2. It provides LI protection — thermal overload (L) and magnetic short-circuit (I) — with a fixed instantaneous pickup of 190 A and an adjustable long-time pickup from 0.7 to 1 x In.
The 16 A rating at 50 °C sets the continuous current the trip unit can carry without nuisance tripping in a warm panel — if your ambient is higher, you must derate. The 190 A fixed instantaneous pickup means magnetic trips occur at roughly 12 x In, which is typical for distribution-level short-circuit protection per EN/IEC 60947-2. The 4D protected poles (all four poles with neutral protection set to 1 x Ir) suit a 4-wire distribution system where the neutral is not fully rated.
Integration Notes
