What the breaking capacity means for your panel
The C10L4 is a ComPacT NSX100L basic frame — a 4-pole, 100 A rated (at 40 °C) air circuit breaker frame without a trip unit. The Ics (service breaking capacity) matches the Icu at 415 V — 150 kA — so you get full rated performance after a fault, not a derated service rating. For selectivity studies, that 150 kA at 415 V gives headroom downstream for smaller breakers to clear before this frame opens.
Standards and isolation suitability
Overvoltage category III covers fixed-installation distribution boards. The front face carries Class II shock protection, so no additional grounding of the enclosure face is needed.
Fixed-mount design for backplate installation. The 4-pole frame is 140 mm wide, 161 mm high, 86 mm deep — check your enclosure depth before committing to the panel layout. Connection pitch is 35 mm, with front-facing connections on both the upside and downside.
Durability and operating range
Mechanical durability is 50,000 cycles. Electrical durability varies with load: 30,000 cycles at 440 V AC at rated current, 50,000 cycles at half rated current. That is enough for a main distribution breaker that sees a few operations per day.
